Major Shipping Consortium to call at Sydney and Brisbane

Hutchison Ports has been in discussions with the A3 consortium for a service to call at the Hutchison Ports Australia terminals. It now gives me great pleasure to announce that the A3 Southern Express loop will be serviced by Sydney International Container Terminals and Brisbane Container Terminals.

The A3 is a weekly service and the consortium members ANL, COSCO and OOCL are already our valued customers. A3 does represent one of the biggest shipping services on the Australia-Asia trade operating some of the biggest vessels (5700 TEU size) to call East Coast Australia.

Hutchison Ports Australia is grateful to the A3 consortium for awarding the Southern Express Loop to Hutchison Ports in Sydney and Brisbane and we thank the partner lines for the opportunity to stevedore the biggest service on the Australia trade. With a highly enthusiastic workforce and an eagerness to succeed, Hutchison Ports Australia will deliver on performance to ensure the A3 service continues to be a winner on the Australia-Asia service.

The first vessel (XIN NING BO) will call at Sydney on the 12th November 2016 and the same vessel is due to arrive BCT in the following week.
