WHEREVER WE OPERATE, WE FORM AND MAINTAIN STRONG PARTNERSHIPS.

Hutchison Ports Sydney works closely with rail stakeholders, rail intermodal terminals, and with organisations like ARTC, NSWPorts, and Port Authority of NSW, to provide rail services for the port and its customers.

Rail operations commenced in July 2014 and has grown from 20 trains processed in its initial month to over 80 trains processed in January 2017.  The terminal handles approximately 12% of all TEU of throughput by rail, offering our customers the flexibility of alternative transportation for containers to normal road freight.

Hutchison Ports Sydney have invested in long base Reachstackers which are able to conduct loading and unloading operations across both rail lines simultaneously, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety for our workers operating in the rail siding.

Hutchison Ports Sydney is committed to delivering unrivalled rail services for our customers.
